Like Mother Like Daughter??

I've heard a lot of comments that Eloise and I look like very similar babies. So I had my parents pull out the old photo albums to do a little comparison. Sometimes I see a little mini-me when I look at Eloise's face and other times I don't. Hands down she is way cuter than I was (that must be thanks to tom's genes :) A few of the photos of me are a little bit older than Ellie is now but I think they still work.

Eloise had her first doctor appointment this week and she is super-duper healthy!!! She is growing like a champ. The doctor likes to see babies back to their birth weight by 2 weeks of age. We knew she had already exceeded that goal a week after her birthday so we were excited to see what she weighed in at two weeks later.

Birth Day: 6lbs 12oz
Leaving Hospital 3 days later: 6lbs 7oz
1 Week After Birth: 7lbs 2oz
2 Weeks After Birth: 7lbs 8oz (or 7.5 lbs!!!)

Eloise's Weight is in the 25th percentile and her Height is in the 85th percentile. Her head is in the 25-40th percentile. I guess she is long and lean, definitely tom's genes. The doctor said the percentiles do not have to match up and often don't, as long as there is growth and she is excelling at weight gain! Luckily there were no shots at this appointment but Ellie really does not like to be wearing only her diaper (it's cold for a little one!). So she had a robust cry after being stripped down while the doctor examined her. The doctor noted that she had little tears formed at the corner of her eyes. While this breaks a mom's heart, she was actually ahead of schedule for developing tears!

I am still pretty tired but I did have 2 segments of 3 hours of sleep last night - a first!
