10 Months!

A tad bit late but Eloise is 10 months old! The biggest news is that her TEETH have finally showed up! A few days before she officially turned ten months I felt one of her bottom teeth poke through. Within another few days a second bottom tooth came through. Now, about a week and half later, I can feel one of her top front teeth and the one right next to it looks like it is coming along as well. Phew! I have yet to snap a photo of the elusive teeth but they sure are cute.

Here's our monkey girl, another challenging photo shoot!

Eloise is busy, busy, busy, and a little more busy. Her favorite activity is walking by holding on to different objects. She hasn't attempted any solo steps yet but she is getting very confident with her one hand hold. She loves pushing a little stroller around and also uses the stools in our kitchen as walkers... Her little pointer fingers are really getting good at pushing specific buttons. It is truly entertaining to watch her explore. It really cracks us up when she takes a break from playing to slam some water from her sippy cup.

Bedtime has gotten a little later, usually around 7:30ish and most of the time Eloise wakes up around 6:45-7:00. Still on two naps a day. She plays with her toys in her crib and likes throwing them on the floor. Often times after a nap I find Eloise sitting in her crib "reading" a book out loud. I'm so glad she loves books as much as I do!

We've been transitioning out of the baby foods (weird!) (scary!) but it is really challenging to get a spoon to Ellie's mouth and she seems to enjoy feeding herself (and hand-feeding Parker). Right now she LOVES raspberries, almost as much as she loves her zesty tomato puffs. Otherwise food preferences tend to be all over the place, one day she loves something and the next day she spits it out. She has a sippy cup of formula with her breakfast and then three bottles during the day, one before each nap and one before bedtime.

Eloise loves the swing!

Waking up at night seems to be a thing of the past (fingers, toes, and eyes crossed) but we haven't had to drag ourselves out of bed since sometime in July. It's weird, but even as she woke up less and less, it felt harder and harder to get out of bed in the middle of the night! I mentioned in a previous post about her crabby-pants which I now know ARE linked to teeth but fortunately it has not affected her nighttime sleep thus far.

Goofy girl!

Lots and lots of chatter from Eloise but no specific words yet. Awake from her nap and ready to play, have to wrap this up!

  1. I think we need a playdate at the park soon. Charlie would love those swings I think! Can't wait to see those little teeth!
